About

Pocket Lane started as a group chat where three friends kept sending each other mobile games and arguing about which ones were worth the storage space. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down in one place, so here we are.

We focus on racing and arcade titles because that's what we play most on the train, in queues, and on the couch. But we don't say no to a solid RPG or a clever strategy game if it runs well on a phone and respects your time.

Every game we cover gets real playtime. We don't review from trailers or press kits. If a game needs ten hours before it clicks, we put in the ten hours and tell you whether it was worth it.

We pick titles based on how they feel in short sessions, how fair the progression is, and whether we'd actually open them again a week later. That last test fails more games than you'd think.

Jonas Keller — Jonas has been reviewing mobile games for about eight years and still keeps a drawer full of old phones for testing. He's convinced the best arcade games are the ones you can play with one thumb.
